Thanissaro Bhikkhu
Thanissaro Bhikkhu (Geoffrey DeGraff) is an American born Buddhist monk in the Thai Forest Tradition. He studied under Ajaan Fuang Jotiko, a disciple of Ajaan Lee. Ajaan Thanissaro was ordained at Wat Asokaram in 1976. In 1991 he helped found Metta Forest Monastery outside San Diego, and of which he was made abbot in 1993. Ajahn Thanissaro is among the few contemporary translators of the Pali Canon and is the author of dozens of books, study guides and manuals including Wings to Awakening and Handful of Leaves.
